AMF Warns Public Against Unauthorised Crypto-Asset Actors

On 23 December 2025, the French Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) issued a warning against 51 newly identified websites offering crypto-assets or related services without authorisation in France. Since the start of 2025, the AMF has added 71 entities to its blacklist. The regulator reminds investors to consult its official whitelist of registered digital asset service providers (PSAN/PSCA) before engaging with any platform.

AMF Publishes Updated Consolidated Recommendation on Corporate Governance and Executive Pay (DOC-2012-02)

The AMF has issued a revised and consolidated version of its DOC-2012-02 recommendation on corporate governance and executive remuneration for listed companies referring to the AFEP-MEDEF code. The update integrates doctrine from the AMF's 2024 and 2025 corporate governance reports, removes 45 items now reflected in the AFEP-MEDEF code or HCGE application guide, and harmonises presentation. The AMF clarifies that withdrawn elements remain applicable through the 'apply or explain' framework.

G7 Cyber Expert Group Completes 2026 Cross-Border Financial Sector Exercise

On 31 July 2026, the AMF announced that the G7 Cyber Expert Group successfully completed its 2026 cross-border coordination exercise in the financial sector on 18 May 2026. The exercise simulated a large-scale cyberattack affecting all G7 jurisdictions, testing coordination, information sharing and crisis communication among finance ministries, central banks and supervisory authorities. A long-term strategy has been adopted to ensure these exercises continue and further strengthen cyber resilience.

Money Market Funds: ANC Confirms Presumption of Cash Equivalents Classification

The French Accounting Standards Authority (ANC) has confirmed that money market funds (MMFs) using liquidity management tools such as swing pricing can still be presumed eligible for classification as cash equivalents under accounting standards. This presumption remains rebuttable, particularly during market stress. The AMF will update its MMF guide accordingly.
