EBA Publishes Draft Reporting Framework for AMLA 2027 Eligibility Data Collection
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published a public working draft of the data model and taxonomy supporting the 2027 eligibility data collection for direct supervision by AMLA. The data will be collected in early 2027 from obliged entities provisionally eligible in 2026 to confirm they still meet the criteria as of 31 December 2026. Comments are open until 24 August 2026.

AMLA sets out priorities on crypto-assets financial crime risks
On 15 September 2026, AMLA Executive Board Member Simonas Krepšta outlined AMLA’s priorities for addressing financial-crime risks linked to crypto-assets at the Global Conference on Criminal Finances and Cryptoassets in Luxembourg. AMLA’s Crypto Action Plan focuses on improving the EU-wide understanding of crypto-related ML/TF risks, strengthening supervisory convergence, developing analytical capabilities and enhancing cooperation. AMLA is also conducting a dedicated analysis of crypto-sector ML/TF risks and highlighted the need for stronger EU-level blockchain analytics. The speech does not introduce new binding requirements but provides insight into AMLA’s future supervisory priorities for crypto-related financial crime.

AMLA's Petersen Highlights Intelligence and Supervision at Nordic Financial Crime Forum
AMLA Executive Board Member Rikke-Louise Petersen delivered the opening keynote at the Nordic Financial Crime & Sanctions Forum in Copenhagen on 15 September 2026. She outlined how risk analysis, financial intelligence and supervisory cooperation can reinforce a more effective EU AML/CFT framework, referencing AMLA's first joint analysis exercise in late 2026 and the information-sharing partnerships enabled by Article 75 of the AML Regulation from July 2027.
