EIOPA appoints Stavros Konstantas to Management Board
EIOPA's Board of Supervisors has elected Stavros Konstantas, Director of Occupational and Private Insurance Supervision at the Bank of Greece, to EIOPA's Management Board for a two-and-a-half-year term. ESAs Propose Simplified Bilateral Margin Rules for Sub-€8bn Counterparties
The European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA) published a final report on draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/2251 on bilateral margin requirements. The proposal removes initial margin exchange obligations for both new and existing uncleared OTC derivative contracts for counterparties below the €8 billion threshold. The RTS have been submitted to the European Commission for endorsement.
