The CSSF has published a dedicated webpage clarifying the new prior notification and approval requirements for material operations by credit institutions and (mixed) financial holding companies, introduced by the Law of 5 May 2026 transposing CRD VI. The webpage details the practical implementation for acquisitions/divestitures of material interests, material transfers of assets and liabilities, and mergers and divisions.

CSSF Updates Cross-Border Management Notification Templates for AIFMD II Transposition
The CSSF has published updated notification letter templates and guidance for Luxembourg-domiciled investment fund managers (IFMs) to reflect changes introduced by AIFMD II, transposed into Luxembourg law on 3 March 2026. The new templates must be used from 31 July 2026 for cross-border management notifications within the EEA. The eDesk module for such notifications is also updated accordingly.
