New EU Reference Document Supports Implementation of NIS2 Security Measures
The EU NIS Cooperation Group has published a reference document and mapping table to help organisations implement NIS2 security measures. The guidance links NIS2 requirements to EU Implementing Regulation 2024/2690 and existing standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST CSF 2.0. It is non-binding and does not replace Belgian NIS2 legislation or the CyberFundamentals Framework.

Cyber Resilience Act: EU reporting obligation enters into force
From 11 September 2026, manufacturers of products with digital elements must report actively exploited vulnerabilities and severe product security incidents through ENISA's single reporting platform. Belgium's CCB, acting as national CSIRT, will process notifications addressed to Belgium and forward them to other competent authorities. Reporting follows a 24-hour early warning, 72-hour notification and final report sequence.
