Georgia and Turkey: No EU Accession Progress Without Reform

The European Parliament adopted two resolutions warning Georgia and Turkey that no progress on EU accession is possible without democratic reforms. For Georgia, future EU engagement is conditional on reversing democratic backsliding and ending anti-EU disinformation. For Turkey, the accession process remains stalled due to persistent rule-of-law and human rights deficits, and the Parliament calls for a firmer EU response.
