Incident figures continue to rise: The CCB calls on companies to take immediate action

The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium recorded 635 incidents in 2025, nearly 70% more than in 2024, including 556 cybersecurity incidents. Account compromise, ransomware, phishing and the rapid exploitation of vulnerabilities remain major threats. The CCB encourages organisations to strengthen identity security, patch vulnerabilities quickly, manage third-party risks and improve incident response. The publication introduces no new legal obligations but highlights the importance of effective cyber resilience under applicable frameworks such as DORA and NIS2.
