EU Adopts €5M Assistance for Togolese Navy Under European Peace Facility
The Council adopted a €5 million assistance measure under the European Peace Facility to equip the Togolese navy for maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea. This follows a €10 million measure from July 2025, bringing total EU support to Togo to €15 million. The equipment is non-lethal and aims to strengthen regional stability.

Eurostat: Retail Trade Volume Down 0.3% in Euro Area in June 2026

Eurostat: Services Production Up 0.8% in Euro Area and EU in May 2026
In May 2026, seasonally adjusted services production rose by 0.8% in both the euro area and the EU compared with April 2026, according to Eurostat first estimates. On an annual basis, services production increased by 2.4% in both areas. Real estate activities and professional, scientific and technical activities drove the monthly growth.
