Euro Area Inflation Rises to 2.9% in July 2026 Flash Estimate
Eurostat's flash estimate puts euro area annual inflation at 2.9% in July 2026, up from 2.8% in June. Energy prices drove the increase, while core inflation excluding energy edged up to 2.2%. The data reflect the first euro area aggregate to include Bulgaria (EA21).

Euro Area GDP Grows 0.4% in Q2 2026, EU 0.5% – Eurostat Flash Estimate
Eurostat's preliminary flash estimate shows euro area GDP grew by 0.4% in Q2 2026 and EU GDP by 0.5% quarter-on-quarter, following stagnation in Q1. Year-on-year growth accelerated to 1.0% in the euro area and 1.2% in the EU. The release provides an early signal of economic momentum for compliance-relevant macroprudential risk assessments.
