Press release on the suspension of trading in Banque nationale de Belgique/Nationale bank van België (BNB/NBB)
The FSMA suspended trading in the National Bank of Belgium's financial instruments on Euronext Brussels from 9:00 CET on 2 September 2026, pending the publication of a press release. Trading was subsequently reopened on 3 September.

FSMA to Assess AML/CFT Expertise of Insurance Intermediary AMLCOs in 2026
The Belgian FSMA announced it will assess during the last four months of 2026 the level of AML/CFT expertise and knowledge of AMLCOs at insurance intermediaries. FSMA Warns Public Against Fraudulent WhatsApp Groups Impersonating Bolero and GuardCap
The Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has issued a fresh warning about fraudulent WhatsApp groups that impersonate Bolero (KBC Bank NV) and GuardCap Asset Management Limited. Fraudsters advertise on social media, lure consumers into private groups, and promote fake AI-based investment plans with unrealistically high returns. The FSMA has added the entities behind these schemes to its list of firms operating unlawfully in Belgium.
