Euro Area Retail Trade Volume Down 0.4% in April 2026
Eurostat reports that the seasonally adjusted volume of retail trade decreased by 0.4% in the euro area and 0.5% in the EU in April 2026 compared to March 2026. Year-on-year, retail trade increased by 1.0% in the euro area and 0.9% in the EU.

Eurostat: Services Production Up 0.8% in Euro Area and EU in May 2026
In May 2026, seasonally adjusted services production rose by 0.8% in both the euro area and the EU compared with April 2026, according to Eurostat first estimates. On an annual basis, services production increased by 2.4% in both areas. Real estate activities and professional, scientific and technical activities drove the monthly growth.
