EU Aligns with Third Countries on Moldova Restrictive Measures
On 15 June 2026, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2026/1357, adding six individuals to the sanctions list for actions destabilising Moldova. Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, and Ukraine have aligned with this decision, ensuring their national policies conform.

Eurostat: Retail Trade Volume Down 0.3% in Euro Area in June 2026

Year-on-year, retail trade rose by 0.7% in the euro area and 1.2% in the EU. The declines were broad-based across food and non-food sectors, with notable variations across Member States.

Eurostat: Services Production Up 0.8% in Euro Area and EU in May 2026
In May 2026, seasonally adjusted services production rose by 0.8% in both the euro area and the EU compared with April 2026, according to Eurostat first estimates. On an annual basis, services production increased by 2.4% in both areas. Real estate activities and professional, scientific and technical activities drove the monthly growth.
